Output deley of TPS3700-Q1

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS3700-Q1, UCC27524A-Q1

Dear, All

A customer is considering the TPS3700-Q1.
Propagation delay of OUTA and OUTB in this data sheet are described only Typ value.
Please tell me this MAX value.
Circuit conditions are as follows.
- Rp 10kΩ
OUTA and OUTB are connected.
Load, ENA and ENB of two UCC27524A-Q1. Connected to a total of four terminals.
For outputting a forced Low, connecting the collector of RN1402.

Thanks, Masami M.

  • Hi Masami,

The delay time will depend on the overdrive of the sense line.  A larger overdrive means that there is a greater delta between the sense line and the reference voltage it is being compared to.  The larger that delta is, the faster the comparator can determine if the output should be high or low.

Figure 7 shows the delay with respect to overdrive:

    Very Respectfully,

    Ryan

  • Hi, Ryan-san,

I'm sorry for a slow answer.
The customer wants to know an Max Value of OUTA and OUTB.
Please tell its Max Value on a condition same as the data sheet.
I will not wish I get a guarantee value.

    Thanks, Masami M.
  • Hi Masami-san,

I am unable to provide you a maximum value. As shown in Figure 7 of the datasheet, with an overdrive of 4%, the output will change in ~6us for INA+ and ~14us for INB-. As you increase overdrive, the time is reduced. As you decrease overdrive, the time is increased.

    Very Respectfully,
    Ryan
