Can we operate LM2596-adj at 100% duty cycle.
In datasheet sction 7.9 Electrical Characteristics- All output versions : Max duty cycle=100% , when we connect FB pin of this IC to ground it will operate at 100% duty cycle.
Has anyone tested it?

Hi,
In a closed-loop environment, FB pin connected to VOUT, yes the LM2596 has the capability of operating at 100% duty cycle. Take a look at Figure 6 for the expected Dropout Voltage (Vout = Vreg - 50mV) for the given inductor Rind (DCR) value.
In an open-loop environment, FB pin not connected to VOUT and connected to 0V or ground, it'll also force the 100% duty cycle condition. Take a look at Note (5) of the EC table.
So yes, this condition has been tested.
Best Regards,
