BQ27510-G3 wrong capacity and time values

Hi Team,

i use the BQ27510-G3 gauge witch a single 5000mAh accu. Now i have the Problem that the gauge values for current, voltage and temperature are correct but the all other values for remaing capacity, remainig time etc.are wrong.

I use the BM Studio and i have set the design Capacity to 5000mAh but i get the following values:

Have someone the same Problem or the solution ?

    Sorry the Picture for the values are not to see, here are the values:

    AtRate = mA, AtRate time to Empty 65535 Min, Temp = 25°C, Voltage = 4205mV, Nom. cap = 978mA, Full Av. Cap = 978mA, Remain Cap = 999mA, Full Charge Cap = 1002mA, Avarage current = 662mA, Time to Empty = 65535Min, .... , State of Charge = 100%, Int. Temp 33°C, Designe Cap = 5000mAh, ...., True SOC = 100%

    hello Udo,

    You have to program the gauge with the correct chem id for your battery and then run a learning cycle according to the attached app note.

    Also, you need to make sure you have a thermistor connected to the device because only then will the gauge know you have a battery inserted and the impedance algorithm work. I hope this helps.

    You said the gauge values for current, voltage and temperature are correct , so from your values I can get your battery is a 4v 5000mah battery? But I can't see your test Capacity values. I f the capacity values is not 5000 mah. the reason maybe your battery capacity had got small. May be you are not maintenance your battery. Over charger or discharge will cause your battery's capacity get small, your battery's life get shorter.
