Dear Ti,

I'm looking to use the TPS54360 as my specs are as below.

Vin=48V

Vout=3.3V or 5V

Iout=<1A

After I had done a simulation through Webench found that the efficiency only achievable at +/- 70%. Please check and advise.

I ran a webench simulation and set output to 5 V at 3.5 A and set the optimize dial to "max efficiency". The efficiency at 1A output is greater than 91%:

Thanks John,

But the file attached is Iout: 3.5A. I would like to set it to 1A or below. Can you show it to me? Thanks.

Designing for max current will usually result in highest efficiency at lighter loads. Mainly due to lower DCR of inductor. Also, 5V output will always give better efficiency than 3.3 V. If you provide your email, I can share the actual webench file.

I would like to consider 3.3V at the efficiency of 80% and above. I had PM you my private email for the webench link.

I am taking a long weekend for the 4th. I might possibly find some spare time to run it this weekend. If you are in a husrry, just st the current for 3.5 A and twist the dial all the way clockwise to "most efficient". that is all I did for the 5 V design.
