TPS62736 short circuit or maximum load protection?

Does the TPS62736 have protection against running at max rated current or a short for extended period of time? I don't see where this is called out in the specification.

Yes, there is a current limit listed.

Have you also looked at the TPS62740/3? These are smaller and easier to use I think.

Thanks, but what happens when you try to exceed the current limit for extended periods of time or have a short on the output? Will the device recover once the short or max current is removed?

Yes, it will recover. Over-current protection is rarely latching at this power level.
