what is programmed bq34z100G1 LED status when you do a cold start?

The gauge will run an FCC simulation after the cell have been attached and it will update the SOC. The SOC will depend on the voltage levels, temperature and Load Select conditions and the SOC can be reported on the LEDs. Try resetting the device to force another FCC simulation to see if the SOC changes.

I tried the srec file and the gauge reported an SOC. Can you run a log file and repeat the steps that you tried? Maybe the log file will provide a clue.

I see when I load the srec then there is a SOC but when I reset power and reconnect SOC indicate 0%

I do not see SOC going to 0 in the log file, but I see that you are trying to operate at -39C. Have you done an Rb tweak to improve low temperature performance. This is usually required when operating below 0C. Here is the website for the Rb tweak.

The internal temperature calibration used to be broken in bqStudio. I just tested it with bqStudio v1.3.53 and it worked. You can download this version from the bqStudio website.
