As per the datasheet of BQ27510-G3, REGIN pin has two voltage ranges for different test condition. Ex: For No operating restrictions, Input range is 2.7V to 5.5V and NO Flash Writes, Input range is 2.45 to 2.7V. What is the different between these two test conditions? What are the failure conditions that makes the chip failure other than exceeding the Absolute maximum rating?

Hi Rajesh,

If Vregin is between 2.7 V and 5.5 V, reg25 is capable of supporting a load current up to 16 mA and there are no operating conditions on the device.

If Vregin is between 2.45 V and 2.7 V (such as when battery voltage is low), reg25 is capable of supporting a load current of only 3 mA and no flash writes should be executed. This is because flash programming current can increase the likelihood of internal LDO dropout if Vregin is less than 2.7 V.
