CSD22204W p-ch-Mosfet with positive Vgs

Let me look into this for you. First just let me make sure I am understanding your question correctly. 

Are you asking can the part handle up to +6Vgs on the gate without sustaining damage?

yes indeed that's the application case.
We operate Source at +2.5V and Gate up to +3.3V (therefore Vgs ~ +0.8V).
In the datasheet, we found Zener-Diodes, but we're not sure if this is symmetrical to +/- 6 V.
So yes, we're interested in understanding how much Vgs the device can withstand in positive direction and if we have to expect any damage for our 2.5 V / 3.3 V application.

I just confirmed there are indeed symmetrical back to back diodes in the FET. So at 0.8V you should be fine.

I think the issue here is this datasheet was copied from a device that only had a single diode that would clamp the voltage to +0.8V. But that is not the case with this part.

I am checking with our test engineers to confirm whether or not we test to +/-6 in production or just -6V.

thanks for your help.
Please proceed with your test engineers since our short measurement has unveiled that it indeed clamps positive voltages, so the +6Vgs don't seem to work at all.
We will be waiting for your answer.

I have confirmed there is indeed a polydiode here and it should be able to handle up to 6V so there must be something else going on here. 

Can I ask where you got these parts from? Were they from a reputable source like Digikey or Mouser?
