BQ24232 and tiny LiPo - configuration questions

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24232, BQ25120, BQ25100

Hey guys,

I'm working on a BQ24232 project, charging a 35mAh Lithium polymer unit.

I'm facing the following problem:

Whenever I attach power to charge the unit, the batteryvoltage increases really fast to 4,2V (within minutes).

The charging current then is decreasing until ITerm is reached.

I fear, the charging process isn't optimally configured for that tiny capacity. Could you give me any advice for optimization.

I've following config:

ILIM floating

ITERM floating

33k @ ISET for ~25mA charging current

TMR left floating

What I'm thinking about is a tiny R @ ITERM (~10-15 Ohms) to shift down I Term.

But, this isn't perfect solution in my opinon, because this just leads to a little more transfered energy.

Any other thing i could do to increase transfered energy amount?

Thanks for your help.

Best wishes,

Florian
