Hi,

customer have one question when use BQ24196, the follow picture is the schematic:

the value of R7001 and R7004 are 6.8K , 3.9K,

the voltage at NTC1/2 is about 2.96v,

but the software designer said that the register value indicate that the temperature of battery was too high.

please help to advise if there is any problem with customer's design?

Hello,

For a 10kOhm 103-AT thermistor the recommended resistor network is as follows:

If using a different thermistor, then the R1/R2 values need to be calculated using the equations in page 19 of the datasheet. A temperature range must be selected as well based on the Li-ion cell spec and operating range of the application.
