Hello,
I'm writing for a detailed description of the MCU I/O Protection and GND protection. In particular:
1. The datasheet suggests that we need 4.7kOhm for 3.3V I/O's and 10kOhm for 5V I/O's. How are these resistances derived? What are the calculations behind them?
2. TI recommends a parallel diode/resistor combination to protect the ground network. Is this network only required is there is a potential for a negative voltage transient on GND? The recommended components appear to be 1kOhm and a 200V/0.2A diode. How are these values calculated?
