TPS25921 ILIM variation

Hello guys,

Our customer is considering to use TPS25921 for a actuator driver protection with high volume unit.

They wants to know ILIM variation with 100kohm RILIM when the voltage between IN and OUT is 1.0V, 0.5V, 0.2V and 0.1V.

Could you please give me the variation data?

If you don't have such data, could you please give me ILIM variation with 95.3kohm RILIM instead of 100kohm case

when the voltage between IN and OUT is 1.0V, 0.5V, 0.2V and 0.1V?

Hi Nakai-san,

For any voltages lower than 1V between IN and OUT, accuracy is +/-7% at 95.3k and 100 RLIM resistors.

Current limit variation with 95.3k RLIM is >>> 0.93A (min); 1A (typ); 1.07(max).

Current limit variation with 100k RLIM is >>> 0.98A (min); 1.055A (typ); 1.13(max).

Thank you for your reply.

I understood that ILIM accuracy is +/-7% at 95.3kohm and 100kohm RLIM resistors.

Could you please give me a graph with X axis is output current (Io) and Y axis is output voltage (Vo) when RILIM is 95.3ohm or 100kohm and VIN is 10.8V, 13.5V, 15.6V?

The customer needs the graph to understand that how TPS25921 output voltage is changed when output current is around the current limit value.
Also a enginner of the company wants to use the graph for explanation of the device for other engineers of his team.

Hi Nakai-san,

To give you more insight on voltage drop with load current, the below graph between (Vin-Vout) and load current is shown. RLIM resistor is set at 95.3kohm.
