TPS54334 load transient response

Hi,

Customer of mine is observing high load transient in TPS54334 on their board

As I understand from datasheet, the transient response is +/-5% of Vout but I’m getting more than that

Test condition: 

  • Vin = 24V
  • Vout = 5.1V
  • Iout = 1.5A
  • Transient response= 280mV (> 5%)

Could you advise if this is normal for TPS54334?

I attach the schematic and layout of the PCB, could you help to review as well.

    Transient response will depend on the specific circuit and conditions. If yours are not exactly the same as the design example in the datasheet you can expect different results. Your transient response exhibits the classic waveform. It is not under damped at all. If that amount of voltage deviation is acceptable in your system that transient response looks correct to me.
