Hi,

My customer is considering on following condition.

Vin : 5.0~20V, Vout : 5V, Iout : 3A

※ There is margin on the minimum value of Vin(5V) , the Vin doesn't drop until 5V actually.

I simulated on above condition by Webench, however it doesn't works and following message appears.

Is it difficult to design with TPS54302 on above condition?

Could you indicate if there is to pay attention when designing inductor value?

    Kuramochi,

    The Webench can not support this kind of high duty simulation. That is because the their will be a voltage drop when the devices works in about 100% duty.

    Could you please descript the details of the application? how much the voltage drop can you accept? For this large duty and wide VIN application, you'd better apply

    one EVM board to check it.
