[ LMG3410 ] Power Supply Separation and FAULT pin

Hi Expert,

Can you help me to address following queries from my customer?

<Q1: Vds and Vdd Voltage Separation>:

Can the Vds power(drain voltage) be supplied without Vdd supplied?

<Q2: FAULT pin Current>:

Do you have a current specification of FAULT pin such as sink/source current?

Thank you for your support in advance.
Regards,
Ken

  • Hi Ken
    Thanks for your questions.

<Q1: Vds and Vdd Voltage Separation>:
Can the Vds power(drain voltage) be supplied without Vdd supplied?

Answer: Yes, you can apply Vds voltage without Vdd supplied. LMG3410 adopts TI’s Direct Drive architecture to create a normally-off device while providing the native switching performance of the GaN power transistor. When the LMG3410 is unpowered, an integrated low-voltage silicon MOSFET turns the GaN device off via its source.

    <Q2: FAULT pin Current>:
Do you have a current specification of FAULT pin such as sink/source current?

Answer: The sink/source current of FAULT pin is typically 50mA/40mA, and 35mA/25mA (Min)

    Best regards,
    Ted
