UC2625 IC Classification

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC2625, UC2625-EP

Dear All;

I am working on a project that requires DO-254 compliance. We are required to classify UC2625 IC to identify the verifying requirements(tests).  We need to answer following questions;

  • Is it an Application Specific IC(ASIC)? Does it contain any programmable element?
  • Is applying all possible input combinations results in all possible outputs? (To elobarate more, this question is to determine any internal states/state machines independent of inputs)

From out point of view, based on our limited information from product datasheet, there are no hardcore elements(registers), with IC being a  combination of analog/logic circuit elements hence applying all possible combinations of inputs cover all possible outputs.However, to justify this, we need to do a elemental analysis hence we need following information

  • What is the internal structure of "DECODER" (elemental decomposition) ?
  • What is the size of shift register used in Cross Conduction Prevention sub-circuit? (It appears to be two, and the shift registers is a part of output flip flops?)

Also any information including but not limited to

  • service history for UC2625-EP
  • elaboration/information on internal structure and operation of UC2625-EP(anything you can add to datasheet)

will greatly help.

I hope you will be able to provide information.

regards,

hakan
