Attemptign to drive A single LED at 2A with a 6V DC supply. suggestions or directions on which driver i should use?

All 3 I mentioned would work just fine. Some considerations:
-LM3401: Hysteretic so it is very fast regarding any transients and has fast PWM dimming (up to 10's of kHz if needed). It has no dedicated analog dimming function. This is the most simple of the 3.
-TPS92515: Also hysteretic so fast, plus it has wide range analog dimming.
-TPS92512: Current mode control so it is very accurate and has a constant switching frequency, but also slower for PWM dimming (up to 1kHz max for decent range). It also has analog dimming, but the range is limited if Vin is within about 5V or less of Vout.
Really none of them are the wrong direction. It just depends on whether or not you need certain features for which you use.
