TPS563201 Vout = 7V

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS563201

Hi, Team,

The customer would like to use the TPS563201 Vout =7V, but 7V is the maximum output voltage. Are there any condition which can output over 7V? (Condition means Vin or load)

The maximum output voltage is determined by max on time duty?

  • As we know, the TPS563201 built in th ripple injection circuit which use the SW signal to generate the small ripple voltage and couple it to VFB signal: VFBin= K*Vout + Vripple.

The PWM comparator compare the VFBin signal with Vref to initiate the ON time for convertor.

When Vout > 7V, the VFBin voltage will exceed the common-mode input range of PWM comparator, it will increase the delay time of PWM comparator and decrease the accuracy of Vout, and even result in can not normal regulation.  We can gurantee the Vout=7V in all corner with some margin, but in case of problems, please don't use the Vout larger than 7V in application.

    thanks!
