Hi,
Could you tell me the purpose of R4,C14,R8 and R9? Can I remove these components and connect source of Q2 to ground directly?
Please also see attachment for detail.
Thanks!
Sincerely,
Jefer

R4 and C24 form a snubber circuit, It helps to reduce overshoot and ringing on the SW node. You may be able to remove them, but you should check the SW node waveform to see if the overshoot is acceptable. R8 and R9 along with JP2 set the current sense mode. If you tie Q2 directly to GND you will be in RDSon sensing. You will need an appropriate resistor (R6) from either VIN or V5FILT to set the current limit. See the datasheet for details.
Hi John,
Okay, thanks for your answer!
Could you also help to review PCB layout as attachments(layout and schematic files)?
Thanks for your help!

I don't directly support TPS51116, but I often answer generic questions when I know the answer. It is sometimes easier than finding the support person. For this detailed support I will need to find the dedicated apps support person for TPS51116.
