TPS22912C Reverse Current Protection equivalent circuit?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS22912C

Dear support member,

My customer used TPS22912C.

TPS22912C include Reverse Current Protection.

What is the circuit configuration of Reverse Current Protection?
Could you teach equivalent circuit?

VRCP include comparator offset?
Have VRCP not work in the cause offset of comparator ?

Best regard.

  • Hi Bob,

Can you please share some information about your application?  Is reverse current needed due to the input power being disconnected, or because a higher voltage is applied to the output?

Either way, there are two different ways to enable reverse current blocking.  The simplest is to pull the ON pin low.  This disables the load switch and enables the reverse current blocking.  The other way is to apply a voltage differential across the load switch, and this can be done when the load switch is enabled or disabled.  For this to work, a higher voltage needs to be applied on VOUT than on VIN.  Once the load switch detects this voltage difference, the load switch is automatically disabled and reverse current blocking is active.

    Thanks,
