Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS53355

Hello,

Our customer would like to make the IC socket for testing the TPS53355.
Are there any pleasure tolerance from the top side of the IC?
Or, if there is any recommended IC socket please let me know.

Best Regards,
Ryuji Asaka

  • Ryuji,
You're asking about how much force it takes to mount the IC in the socket, correct?
Do you want to do this manually, or automated?
I know there are commercially available test sockets available. Which package are you using?

    >> Yes, correct.

    >> Is this mean package of sockets ? If yes, there is no requirement now.
         TPS53355 package code is DQP.

  • Leonard san,

Are there any updated on this issue?

  • Ryuji,

not yet, I am trying to get the test socket and automatic handler information from the production engineer.  In any case, there is no specification for applying external pressure to a package, and the requirements will come from the socket vendor, as that is where the amount of pressure required to place the IC into the socket will come from.

  • Hi Leonard,

Thank you for your support. I'm looking forward to your checking.

  • Hello Leonard,

Do you need other information of customer ?
Please let me know if necessary other information for this issue. I will check to the customer.

  • Ryuji-san,

We are not clear on what the customer wants to do.  Is this for a test setup?  Please give us more details on what this system looks like.  And again, the insertion pressure will be determined by the type of socket they use in this system, not by the IC.
