Ultrasound evaluation board

Hello TI,

I said before that my evaluation board get damaged through shortening two output of the pulser. You recommended me to replace the pulser by a new one. I sent the board to rework company but they tell that IC has pop corned and they can not warranty to repair that. What do you recommend? replacing the board with new one or repair of it.

Are you referring to the TX-SDK-V2 evaluation board? Otherwise provide the evaluation board and a better description on the failed IC.

Hi Parisa and Brian,

Regarding the symptom you've described (device pop corned), I'd say that if the pads / traces are not affected, replacing the IC should suffice to get you back up and running. However, I'm only guessing as to what the damage to the board might look like.
