Hi,

What is the impact if i choose a wrong battery chemistry that doesn't fit with the chemical id of the fuel gauge.

If you don't select a good ChemID match the reported SOC will be wrong. The error depends on the mismatch.

Please follow the instructions from to calculate the ChemID mismatch based on your battery. The report will show the maximum DOD error in % and if it is <3% (or your requirements) then the battery is a good match.
