can't enforce single ENABLE on certain TPS65400 devices

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65400

I have two TPS65400 devices on my board. #1 has three outputs, SW1, SW2, and SW3 & SW4 are configured in current sharing mode; #2 has two outputs, SW1 and SW2. I need to set ENABLE_PIN_CONFIG=single ENABLE on both devices. This can be done if the version is B or B3; but can NOT be done on #2 if the version is B4. Why is that?

Thanks

Nikko

  • Hi Nikko,

B3 is old version and please connect with TI sales or agent for replce, please don't USe B3 any more!!!!

B3 and B4 should support single enable, need to check: put B4 version in #1 board, and configure single enable to see whether it can support.

Let me know your test result.

you can send me emial, eric-guo@ti.com.

    thanks!

  • I can set ENABLE_PIN_CONFIG=single ENABLE on #2, i.e. the value is taken by the register. But if I set it that way SW2 does not turn on. VFB2 measures close to 0V. Only if I set ENABLE_PIN_CONFIG=active ENABLE can SW2 turn on.
