Hello everybody,

i am developing a bms with the BQ76940 and BQ78350-R1 together with a microcontroller.

how do I know which values are available on the SMBus of the BQ78350-R1 for my microcontroller? I want to read all cell voltages, pack voltage, battery current, temparatures and SoC.

Aditionaly I want to control the charge and discharge fets -which are connected to the BQ76940- with the microcontroller via the SMbus of BQ78350-R1. I cant read something in the datasheet of BQ78350-R1 that this is possible. I think it is but I need a proof for that. Does anybody have an advice for me?

    Hi Armin,
    have you referred to the SLVU925b. please download from the product folder @ www.ti.com/ ; it details how to download bqStudio ( works with bq78350) or the I2C based register GUI( bq76940 Evaluation Software Display( that can talk to bq76940 and give you VC1-VC15, STACK voltage, TS1-TS3 voltage and CC values.
