Some BQ27510G3 I2C Commands not present at BQ27441G1 I2C Commands list?

Hi,

  1. Fuel Gauge Chip IC for the old Fuel Tank Battery Booster Pack is BQ27510G3.
  2. Fuel Gauge Chip IC for the new Fuel Tank MKII Battery Booster Pack is BQ27441G1.

I am comparing the Fuel Gauge Chip IC's I2C Commands of the old Fuel Tank Battery Booster Pack(obsolete) and the new Fuel Tank MKII Battery Booster Pack. 

There are some I2C Commands that are present at the BQ27510G3 Fuel Gauge Chip IC, but not present at the BQ27441G1 Fuel Gauge Chip IC. I am not an expert with Battery Charging to comment why is that. However, I find it trivial to why these I2C Commands are not present at the BQ27441G1 Fuel Gauge Chip IC, which is used at the new Fuel Tank MKII Battery Booster Pack. These I2C Commands access data at Fuel Gauge Chip IC, which I think is relevant information to Battery Management.

What is the reason why these I2C Commands are not present at BQ27441G1 Fuel Gauge Chip IC?

Here are some I2C Commands that are present at BQ27510G3 Fuel Gauge Chip IC but not present at BQ27441G1 Fuel Gauge Chip IC.

  1. AtRate( ) 0x02 / 0x03 mA R/W
  2. AtRateTimeToEmpty( ) 0x04 / 0x05 minutes R
  3. TimeToEmpty( ) 0x16 / 0x17 minutes R
  4. StandbyTimeToEmpty( ) 0x1a/ 0x1b minutes R
  5. CycleCount( ) 0x1e/ 0x1f num R
  6. nstantaneousCurrent( ) 0x22 / 0x23 mA R
