current rating of TPS54526 for 3.3V output

Dear Team,

We are planned to use TPS54526 for generating 3.3V from 5V input,

As per datasheet it says 5A rating but i require 10A 3.3V , So can i use 2 IC in parallel to generate 3.3V @10A, is it possible.

I also want to know the exact current rating of TPS54526 for 3.3V output.

Generally speaking you cannot operate two of these in parallel. You could look at TPS53319, TPS53353, TPS54020 or others.

Hello John,

We are planing to use 2 no. of TPS54526 in parallel as shown in attached image.

Why can't we use like this, As per kirchhoff's current law we should get (5+5)=10A rating right.

May i know why this is not possible,

There is no means to support current sharing. You may get 5+5 or 8+2. You need to use a part designed for either interleaved or stackable configuration or a part rated for your full 10 A.

TPS54526PWP part supports 5.5A rating right.

OK i will check with other part which supports 10A or more.
