Good morning

i have to make a pico ups for my pc, i would want to know if i can use the component bq2477x or bq24725a for my scope, i have to choose one of them but for me now is important to know if i can use it for making an ups...

You have to know what you want first. Such as what is the input voltage? DC or AC output? What is output current and voltage?....

UPS to me has a AC output. bq24725A or bq2477x is a buck charger and can't have AC output.

At first, thanks for the answer.
It's ok, i have in input 24 volt dc, i have to put a little battery li-ion...(12 v)..and then..in output of the bq2477x or the other i put a dc dc boost for the 24v (because my pc works with 24).

Basically, you need a stable 24V source either from 24V input or boost from a 12V battery. Right?

mmm yes...with a control for the charge of the battery and to switch the path of power source...am i clear?

It is clear now. Since it is UPS, the 24V should not have a glitch with adapter removal or battery removal.

bq24725A and bq2477x doesn't have the boost function. I don't think they can meet your request. You have to add a DC to DC boost converter and design a power path selection circuit for it.

okok, i know that bq24etc..doesn't have the boost function..infact i put the dcdc boost after this component.
