[ bq24090 ] CHG pin behavior on TEMP FAULT

Hi,

From the drawing and table above, I do understand that CHG FET is on during 1st charge.
However, it's not clear "ON for 1st Charge" under TEMP FAULT situation.

Can you explain the CHG pin behavior on TEMP FAULT condition?

This means the /CHG LED stays on when charging is suspended by TS fault for the 1st charge cycle. /CHG LED stays off in recharge cycles.

In other words, /CHG does not indicate TS fault.

Hi Jing Zou,

Thank you for your support.
We have checked the and confirmed that CHG_ LED is kept on under TS fault situation.
(We did change R11 value manually.)

Does this behavior mean BQ2409x try to resume charging one temp. fault is removed? And it is expected behavior as charger IC. Correct?

Yes, you are correct. This is expected behavior of the bq2409x.
