Hi,

LP5912 datasheet is written has softstart function.

I have 2 questions of LP5912's softstart.

1. Is this softstart startup while current limiting.

2. If Q1 is Yes, Is the current limit several amperes?

    No, the current limiting is separate circuitry from the internal soft-start function.

    In-rush current, which happens while all of the internal circuitry is in the process of powering up and stabilizing, might be more than 1A, but that typically lasts for only a few micro-seconds. When the internal circuitry has stabilized, the output current will be limited by the active current limit circuitry if needed.
    Typical behaviors are shown in the LP5912 datasheet Typical Characteristics Figures 50 thru 53.
