recently i have bought two BQ76PL455EVM , after some time both of them stop working , it doesn't have any voltage on Base of Q17 transistor and so i cannot connect to EVM. the question is i don't know whether BQ76PL455 IC is burned out or there is another problem??

how can i test EVM to find out the problem?

this product seems to be so weak in a practical environment because it stops working just during a simple test (EVM connected to MCU via uart)!!!

Hi Mohamad,

Base of the transistor is designed to power down until you wake up the devie. It is designed that way to save power in real application.

You have to send the Wakeup signal from your uC 1st then you will see voltages on VP, VDIG.

Once device is woke up then you will see power on transistor

You can connect to our GUI and verify this.

There is also example MCU code available which demonstrates the timing to control the WAKEUP pulse from the MCU, and provides examples of every command sequence described in the Software Design Reference manual.
