Hi,
My customer would like to develop Rx, and they want to use BQ51013B QFN package.
From WPC spec, I seem the WPC 1.1 and 1.2 change certification spec.
Could we still use BQ51013B to develop new project for WPC1.2.2 spec?

Arking,
The only difference between the v1.1 and v1.2.2 specification for the bq51013B is how the bq51013B reports it version number. The current device reports as v1.1, not v1.2.
We are in the process of converting the bq51013B to work with the v1.2 specification.
In the mean time, any evaluation will be consistent with either the v1.1 or v1.2 spec.

Dick
Hi Dick,
is there any schedule for BQ51013B 1.2 version?
if possible, we can use currently version design now.
Arking,
We expect to have the bq51013B resolved by the end of the year.
Yes, any development work done with the current version will be applicable to the v1.2 version

Dick
Arking,
The WPC just met and amended the low power (5W) specification.
The update allows receivers for the v1.2 low power spec to report as either v1.1 or v1.2.
All TI WPC v1.1 receivers report as v1.1 and will pass all other required tests for v1.2 certification (low power).

Dick
