My customer has questions.

Q1.Is there a provision in the time to work protection from overcurrent flows?

Q2.If the device has failed, Is open mode? Or is short mode?

Hi Watanabe-san,

I'm not sure if i understand the questions. Could you rephrase them?

Q1: The IC has a Short Circuit Protection (Hiccup-Mode) which also prevents over-current conditions. It is described in the DS page 11.

Q2: What do you mean by "failed"? What are the concerns of the customer?

Thank you for quick reply.

Q1: What ms is the time from when an over-current condition until the overcurrent protection work?

Q2:If the device has been destroyed by an overcurrent,
VIN~VOUT will be open?
In addition, VIN~GND will be open?

My customer is conserned that a large current flows when the device has been destroyed.

Hi,
Thanks for rephrasing.

There is no delay since this device has a cycle by cycle current limit.

The TPS62090 cannot be destroyed by an over-current because it is protected by the current limit.
