Hi,

Can I use BQ34Z100PW-G1 with VREGIN=3V & I/O voltage= 1.8V?

What should be the VCC for it?

What is this VCC?

You can use an external 3V supply for REGIN and that voltage is considered to be VCC. The logic and I/O are powered by REG25, so the I/O voltage thresholds should work at 1.8V.

As Max value of vcc is 2.75V according to datasheet, how can it be 3V which we give as Vregin?

That is a good point. It looks like they referred to REG25 as VCC in this case. I am not sure why they did this, since REG25 is not a voltage that you would provide.

Hi Mr.Thomas,

If we pull up SCL,SDA to 1.8V rather than VCC(VREG25), then VOH(OD) will be 1.3V. Am I correct?

So can I use this fuel gauge with VREGIN=3V & 1.8V I/O.
