TPS23753A Surge Protection Spec

Hello,

Customer wants to know the Surge Protection spec of TPS23753A.

I cannot find out it in the datasheet. There is only IEC 61000-4-2 spec, not IEC 61000-4-5.

Could you let me know TPS23753A surge spec?

    Hi Nicky,

    Please see Protection section of TPS23753A datasheet which discusses additional ESD protection. But as noted, surge is much more severe and the circuit of page 1 of the datasheet may not be sufficient. Lightning surge protection is beyond the scope of our datasheet and EVM reference circuits.

    However, I recommend looking at the technical documents section of the TPS23753A product folder. There is an app note that discusses considerations for surge protection on PoE PD.
