bq78350-R1 - Integration with the BQ7694000x

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ78350-R1, BQ76940, BQ78350

Dear Team,

a customer of mine has the following questions about the bq78350-R1.

is bq78350-R1 indifferent about which BQ7694000x is connected to him?

Question is mainly because of the different addresses setup, not LDO voltage.

Could you please advice?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

  • Hi,

No, the BQ78350 cannot be connected to any BQ76940.

Here is a quote from the BQ78350-R1 TRM:
The bq78350 is intended to be used with the bq769x0 with a 2.5-V REGOUT configuration and I2C Address 0x08. However, the bq78350 can use a bq769x0 with or without the communications CRC enabled (the bq78350 automatically detects if CRC is enabled).

    Regards,
    Michel
  • The bq78350-R1 only supports I2C bus address 0x08 and it only works with the 2.5V REGOUT. You can use the bq7694000 and bq7694001 AFE options with the bq78350-R1 gauge.
