I am using TPS54620 in our design to get o/p voltage of 3.7V from 12V/5V input supply. We are using FET to select the power source to power up the board. Our board can be powered either from battery or O/p voltage(i.e 3.7V) generated by Switcher. But when we insert the battery TPS54620 gets short. Can you provide me the best solution to implement without doing much change in our design. What i think that if we place a schottky diode after the output inductor then it will also prevent its short circuit. For reference i have attached the screenshot for this.
