Hi,

Could you tell me about bq24266 No battery operation?
I got the following question from a customer.

・Is this device supported the ’No battery operation’?

・Is my understanding of this correct?
-System voltage = VMINSY (in No Buttery operation)

-System supply current = Input current limit (in No Buttery operation)

・When the higher load than the input current limit,
Does this device will keep the system voltage?

The charger supports no battery operation. With /CE = high, SYS = VMINSYS(HI) = VBATREG+2.5% typical. Using a power balance, efficiency=Pout/Pin=VSYS*ISYS/(VIN*ILIM) where efficiency is from the datasheet efficiency curves, you can predict the maximum ISYS for a given ILIM.

I have one more thing I would like to ask.

In case the over load than the input current limit,
what's gonna happen to out put voltage?

I think VSYS is lowered below the VSYS
Is my understanding of this correct?

Yes. You can predict VSYS using a power balance: efficiency = VSYS*ISYS/(VIN*ILIM).
