Hello,

Our customer use 3pcs of LM5060-Q1 for battery front end in Automotive.
The OVP and UVLO setting values are same on three devices.
Currently we use difference resistors for setting the OVP and UVLO.

Can we use same resistor for OVP, UVLO setting on three devices ?
They would like to reduce BOM.
Does it affect the detection accuracy of the device?

Hi Ryuji,

If the Vin input is coming from the same node on all three devices, then yes you can use the same resistor divider for setting up OVP and UVLO. If you're using the two separate resistor dividers, then make sure to multiply the UVLObias term by 3 (equation 12 on datasheet). This is because you now have 3 UVLObias current sources going through R10 (See below).

For 3 resistor divider case, can I use similar way?
Thus, I use "3 x UVLO bias " instead of "UVLO bias" for equation (9)~(11).

Hi Ryuji,

You are correct, you would multiply the UVLO bias by 3 in all equations referencing the 3-resistor ladder option.
