Unregulated Bidirectional Isolated Intermediate Bus Converter (40V to 40V) using LM5030/33 or UCC28230/1

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5033, LM5030

Hi,

In my application I have two floating capacitors (C1 and C2 shown below Figure 1) at 40Vdc with high 180deg out-of-phase voltage ripples which I need to cancel out.

For this task, I am designing an Unregulated DC-DC converter (<300W), with the following specs:

- Bidirectional (two ports C1 and C2), (future work will include a third port C3)

- Isolated

- Unity voltage gain (from 40V +/-20% to 40V +/-20%)

- High efficiency (>90%)

I need advice in choosing the best (in terms of efficiency and performance) IC controller and power topology to be used, I found so far:

IC Controller: LM5030, LM5033, UCC28230, or else?

Symmetrical Regulator Topology: FB, HB, or Push Pull, or else?

XFO: Symmetrical Transformer with Aux winding? Any ref number?

Typical (C1 and C2) voltage waveforms (Blue and Red, Figure 2) can look like the one below. The Green waveform, represents the new voltage of both capacitors after the out-of-phase harmonics are cancelled out.

Any advice is highly appreciated!
