TPS54620 Tracking Functionality

Colleagues,

Can anybody share experiences of using the SS/TR Pin for "real" tracking, which means, the output voltage has to follow a tracking master

both the ways up and down. My customer concerns with some conditions which can prevent from proper tracking, e.g. voltage levels needed

at the multifunctional Pin, e.g. for PGOOD. I'm not sure, if this type of tracking could be supported?

Thanks for your comments.

  • I have only done some lab testing.  The tracking function works within teh limits of the tracking offset as shown in the data sheet.  There is not a multifunction pin on this convereter.  I am not sure what you mean by "My customer concerns with some conditions which can prevent from proper tracking, e.g. voltage levels needed

at the multifunctional Pin, e.g. for PGOOD. I'm not sure, if this type of tracking could be supported?"

    Can you elaborate?
