UCD9090 load Resistance for monitor signals

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD9090, UCD90SEQ48EVM-560

On board we are using UCD9090 power sequencer component. All switching and linear regulator are connected to UCD9090 for monitoring rails. I have doubt that,

are we need to connect with load resistor for monitor rails even if all regulators connected to different  processors?

  • UCD9090 simply monitors rail voltages. It doesn't require dummy load on rail outputs, except the POL converter itself requires dummy load to work, but it has nothing to do with UCD9090.

  • UCD90SEQ48EVM-560 Development board all monitor pins connected with load resistor (4K Ohm).  In our design we used linear and switching regulator for respective rails of processors. All these rails are monitored by UCD9090 power sequencer.

Based on UCD90SEQ48EVM-560 Development  board We connected load resistors and capacitors in our design. See the below image.

Does It require load resistors and capacitors at each monitor pin of UCD9090?

  • Dummy load is not required. Filter capacitor is recommended.
