TPS70925 Internal Circuitry

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS7A16, TPS709

We have been seeing an issue with the TPS7A1601 locking up upon disable in the existing design. This has been occurring in a couple units in the field and there has been little luck recreating the behavior in lab. Looking to replace the TPS7A1601 with the TPS70925 in the next revision but would like to understand any similarities or differences that exist between the two devices and their internal circuitry so that we can possibly avoid this problem occurring by designing in the TPS70925?

Any insight you can provide would be helpful.

Thank you,

-Amanda

  • Hi Amanda,

We were not aware of any issues as you described on TPS7A16. As discussed, without being able to replicate the issue it is extremely difficult to debug.

TPS709 and TPS7A16 enable circuits do not share the same architecture.

    Very Respectfully,
    Ryan
