We got a question from customer about TPS40170.
Could you help us?

[Question]
- How much is the variation of fsw under the following condition?
They should estimate variation.

   Vin=10 to 18V
   Rrt=25.8k *359.8kHz
   Ta=-5 to 125degreeC

The Fsw variaton is around +/-10%.

My customer requires fsw variation under the below.

fsw=343k to 378.4kHz

- Condition -
Vin=12 to 17.5V
Tj=-5 to 110degreeC
*They can't use frequency synchronized function.

They already know fsw variation is +/-10% at Vin=4.5 to 60V from datasheet.
They consider that fsw will become a small variation at their condition and the IC can achieve their spec.
Could you give us the variation data at their condition? They don't need gurantee.

Hi Tateo,

The test data shows the 3*std variation of fsw at below condition is around +/-5%.

12Vin, 300kHz, -40c to 125c.
