Hi!
I have a design based on TPS65580 and I keep breaking the IC and I dont know why. I just powered up my design and measured the voltages on the output nodes and they all looked ok. The input voltage is 12V and the output voltages are 5V and 6V. Once I powered off the board and tried to power it on again, it shorts my power supply. I have my current limit set to 200mA to ensure that I dont fry anything permanently and I have left the board without power.
I have disconnected all 3 inductors to see if anything is shorted through them, but the device is still shorting everything.
I also tested to disconnect all enable pins to disable the outputs and the device still does not work.
The schematic is based on the reference schematic in the datasheet and all enable pins are tied to VIN.
How can I debug this? What can be the cause for the failing devices?
