Battery management studio fails to create a data log

I am using bg34z100EVM with a bq34z100-G1 chip installed.

I am trying to log data with Battery Management Studio. When I press the data logging button, the file save dialog box opens. When I select a filename, the box closes. However, no file is created and the datalogging does not start.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

I have not seen that problem. Did you open the bqStudio program in Run as Administrator mode? It sounds like the computer is not letting the program create a file. Do all of the other parts of the bqStudio program seem to work okay ?
