Could you tell me about TPS65131?
My customer is considering TPS65131.
Customers want information other than the data sheetin employ display driver.
Do you have a calculation sheet and circuit design material?

    What exactly do you want to calculate? The datasheet provides all necessary formulas that you need to design a positive and negative output voltage. Can you provide what display your customer is using and what are the requirements for this?

    I will describe the required specifications of the customer.
    ・Panel:5.2inch LCD
    ・Vpos=5.4V(typ) / sourcec current=50mA
    ・Vneg=-5.4V(typ) / sink current=-50mA
    ・Vin=3.3V

    Customer is wanting a calculation sheet or design materials.
    Could you give me advice?

  • Hello Yusuke-san,

    First of all, as your application only requires 50 mA at 5.4 V I recommend to use the TPS65130 which comes with a smaller solution size. You do not need the high saturation current of the inductor in the TPS65131 version.

    Secondly all required calculation that you will need to design the split-rail supply are described in the datasheet. I recommend that you will work through the datasheet and come back if you have any specific questions.

    I will challenge the introduction of TPS65130.
    However,TPS65131 has been used successfully customer application.
    So,Customer is examining TPS65131.
