BQ27421: the configuration parameters

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ27421-G1

1) We used the following TI components in the project.

1-1) TI BQ27421YZFR-G1A gauge

1-2) TI BQ24295RGER charger

2) In the  User's Guide (SLUUAH7B – June 2013 – Revised August 2014) , Quickstart Guide for bq27421-G1

2-1) In the Chapter 4 Programming the Configuration, it said:

>>  These parameters are Design Capacity, Design Energy, Terminate Voltage, and Taper Rate

2-1-1) The "Design Capacity" parameter

2-1-1-1) The Minimum Capacity and Typical Capacity of the battery in the project

>>    Minimum Capacity 9300mAh (Standard Charge/0.2C Discharge 2.5V) at 25℃
>>    Typical Capacity 9600mAh (Standard Charge/0.2C Discharge 2.5V) at 25℃

Q2-1-1-1-1) Should we set the "Design Capacity" parameter of gauge to the Minimum Capacity (9300mAh) or Typical Capacity (9600mAh) of the battery?

2-1-2) The "Design Energy" parameter

2-1-2-1) In the Quickstart Guide, in page-3, Chapter 4 Programming the Configuration, it said:

>> Design Energy should be set to be Design Capacity × 3.7 if using the bq27421-G1A

Q2-1-2-1-1) Is it right if we directly set the "Design Energy" parameter of gauge to (("Design Capacity" parameter) x 3.7) ?

About the specifications of the battery in the project, please refer to the pictures below.

Thank you.
