Using the EVM2300 with custom hardware

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34Z100-G1, BQSTUDIO

The battery configuration we are using is 4 NiMH cells in series. These are rated at 2300 mAh and our nominal operating current is roughly 5 to 20 mA. The charging current is nominally 300 mA.

The intent is to use the BQ34Z100-G1 simply as a fuel gauge to determine the charge level before deploying an instrument for a long term measurement.

Based on these, we have set up a BQ34Z100-G1 with a current sense resistor of 0.1 Ohms and the voltage sense divider with 75.0K in series with 16.5K.

Since these are different from what is provided on the BQ34Z100EVMand thus yield incorrect values for scaling, etc., my question is: Could I use the I2C bus coming from the EVM2300 to connect directly to my hardware and thus use the bqStudio to derive the correct values for my hardware?
