TPS65217C schematic checklist related query

Hi,

 We are using TPS65217C PMIC with MPU AM335X.

I have below queries regarding PMIC:

1) As per datasheet and user guide of PMIC, output capacitor value used for DCDC1, DCDC2 & DCDC3 is 10UF (shown at page no. 8 of user guide) while as per schematics checklist of PMIC it is recommended 22UF (mentioned at page no. 4). So, which value should i refer?

2) For INT_LDO pin, as per datasheet and user guide, 0.1UF (shown at page no. 8 of user guide) is used to connect this pin with GND while in schematics checklist 10UF is recommended (mentioned at page no. 4). So, what is correct value?

For reference, i have attached datasheet, user guide and schematics checklist of PMIC.

    Hi Vishal,

    1) In the datasheet, 22µF is the nominal output capacitor for the DCDCs, and 10µF is the minimum, so either could be used. The larger output capacitor should result in a lower voltage ripple.

    2) Thanks for pointing that out, the schematic checklist might have a typo for this capacitance value. The datasheet, EVM, and beaglebone design files all reference 100nF for the INT_LDO and 10µF for the BYPASS LDO.
